New Season...

new products and new folding project!

It's been a busy end of summer/back to school time here at Black Ink. We're sad to see the warm weather coming to an end, but we have lots of new products to keep you cozy and help make a new home comfy.

Thanks to our generous customers we collected $250 to benefit No Empty Bedsides! Black Ink matched that and we sent $500 to this wonderful local organization helping families with hospitalized children. Stop by and check out our new folding project benefiting Lovin' Spoonfuls, another local organization dedicated to facilitating the rescue and distribution of fresh healthy food to local non-profits that feed hungry people. Check out their mission at: www.LOVINSPOONFULSINC.org and when you are in either of our stores pick up an origami bird for a one dollar donation.

Stop by soon to see our collection of beautifully colored bento boxes and matching traveler mugs from Japan, delicious and organic teas from Flying Bird Botanicals and much more! Hope to see you soon!

We folded lots of butterflies and collected $180, Black Ink matched that and we sent $360 today to BAGLY to support the important work they do in our community.

Today we start a new project to benefit No Empty Bedsides, a wonderful organization raising money to support families with hospitalized children while they care for their families during this crucial time. NEB partners with the Pediatric Pallative Care Team right here at MassGeneral Hospital for Children. Check out their mission at www.NOEMPTYBEDSIDES.com. NOW MORE THAN EVER!

"I love to see a young girl go out and grab the world by the lapels. Life's a bitch. You've got to go out and kick ass."  MAYA ANGELOU

"Human rights are women's rights and women's rights are human rights, once and for all." HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

July 4th is approaching, always a festive and meaningful holiday here in New England as we celebrate the birth of American independence. Did you know Massachusetts was the first state to make the 4th of July an official state holiday? And that John Adams and Thomas Jefferson both died on July 4th, 1826, the 50th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence?
